Pascoe was born Jeremy James Pascoe in South Wales in the summer of
1953. Educated at Pengam and Croesyceiliog
Grammar Schools, Newport College of Art and The Central School of Art,
London.
He has a Diploma in Art & Design and a Master's in
Fine Art.
He worked in the West End of London as a studio artist
and typographer for Eureka Arts before taking a position in the Creative
Services Unit at Ogilvy & Mather.
He turned freelance in 1985 and almost immediately his
work started winning awards.
He created the idea of Rutger Hauer as the Guinness
man just before he left O&M, and the idea was hijacked by another
creative who won a D&AD Gold Pencil for it. Bah humbug.
His work has won British Design Awards for best
corporate identity manual and best catalogue cover.
He won Advertising Cartoonist of the Year and has won
several awards and prizes in international cartoon festivals and
competitions. In France, he is known as 'the Professor.'
He has worked for the Dally Express, the Daily Mail,
The Financial Times, and the Sunday Mirror.
His passion is swords and swordplay and he owns a
collection of swords, daggers, and sabres.
His club motto is Vincit que se vincit- He conquers
who conquers himself.
The family motto is Fides Pro Ego- integrity before
self.
He lives in Bedfordshire with his wife, Deryl. He has
a son, Matt Pascoe, also an award-winning designer, who is married to
Rachel, a staff nurse at the Royal Surrey Hospital. His Brother and his
brother's partner, former TV presenters Simon Pascoe and Caitlin
Easterby, are the prime movers behind Red Earth Environmental Art, a
unique and cutting edge fine art collective. |
